For our fifth and final RPP game, we were assigned a game to polish. Our team was given a game by the name of Macabre, a game made in the Story Round. (aka, Round 2…I worked on Dick Squirlé that round)
Unfortunately, I believe I may have gotten an earlier incomplete copy from our Perforce repo. The game itself is playable, but it looks very unfinished.
The premise of the game was thus:
You were a knight who must rescue his love (a princess) from an evil skeleton necromancer. The necromancer wanted the princess as his skeleton bride, so he killed her, thus turning her into a living skeleton. You are killed by the necromancer’s skeleton army, but your love for the princess is so strong that you rise from your grave and go after the princess. The ending of the game follows: (highlight to reveal) Once you kill the necromancer, the princess – being under his spell to keep her alive – dies, as do you.
The game was polished in 3 weeks. I was responsible for finding new sound effects and I did some simple graphic work.
